Evergreen
Park Community High School Mustang Baseball – 2014
Tuesdays for Troops Fundraiser
How it started: Mustang ballplayers wanted to emulate major league ball clubs in honoring the men and women of our armed forces by wearing camouflage jerseys on certain game days. The players, challenged by the athletic department to complete a community service project each season, decided to go one step further and raise money to support our troops while wearing these jerseys.
Concept: Your Mustangs will wear their camouflage jerseys on Tuesdays and selected other dates, a total of ten games. Each player will solicit pledges from family and friends, for every win the program achieves wearing this jersey. At the end of the season, the players will collect money from participants. All money collected will be sent to SupportOurTroops.org to assist with the Care Paks program.
Support Our Troops®Care Packs enhance the morale and welfare of the deployed troops worldwideby seeking, receiving and shipping to the front lines care boxes containing itemsspecifically requested by the deployed troops. This is especially important outside the established holidays. Together we can make a difference.
